Canva user? What you need to know from Canva Create
Recently, Canva hosted its annual event, Canva Create, focusing on “Work Redesigned.” The event attracted more than 2.5 million attendees worldwide, and, of course, the Cyber PR Army team watched it with interest!
We know many of you use Canva as a day-to-day tool for in-house design, and we frequently create Canva assets for our clients so they have a professional and bespoke design they can update as needed. Canva Create had some exciting and creative updates, so here’s what you need to know if your team uses Canva.
Canva’s AI Tools
We love amalgamating AI content with original design. To us, AI is just another way to be creative and productive. Canva’s AI tools have been around for a while, but are seeing a significant upgrade as AI gets better and better. Our favourite AI functions? Creating AI-generated images (the image at the top of this blog was created using Canva AI) and tweaking photos through replacement, background remover and more.
Canva’s Screen Recording Capabilities
Do you use Loom or something similar to send video notes? Canva unveiled screen capture capabilities that will be available directly through the app, allowing you to send videos, see when they were watched and even gain analytics!
Canva’s Integrations
Canva aims to simplify work by integrating many distinct functions into the app. Some of these are coming soon, and some are here, but here are a few of the key points:
- Google Ads can be created and will soon be able to be launched directly through Canva.
- Monday and Asana can be integrated to allow instance feedback in the same place as your Canva comments.
- Integrate your business data from sources such as Salesforce and MLS directly into pitch decks, brochures, and other high-impact sales assets to create data visualizations.
Canva’s New Features
Canva has introduced several new features to make design more accessible and efficient. These include Bulk Create (you can use a CSV to upload the text for multiple pages with the same design and varying elements, such as text) and role-specific Work Kits for everything from marketers to HR. Data autofill, Recordings, and Insights and Analytics were introduced for sales teams. You can also now create and use Courses for training and upskilling.
Some of these features could potentially mean you can shed some of those excess subscriptions, making them very interesting to small businesses.
Canva Enterprise
For those of you with larger businesses or high-level security needs, Canva Enterprise was officially unveiled. It allows organizations to centrally manage their brand at scale with enhanced security features, including encryption and SSO, plus implementation support.
Future Developments
Canva plans to continue integrating AI into its platform and aims to empower the world to design efficiently and simply.
